Water's Journey Blog Post
Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs Water come from very different places. Manitou's water comes from snowmelt and springs off of Pikes Peak and the drinkers are first time users. Manitou Reservoir Watershed Area is in national forest and is closed to recreational use because the city monitors the reservior. However, Colorado Springs water also comes from snowmelt and is high in the Rocky Mountains near the Continental Divide. The Colorado Springs users are also first time drinkers as Manitou is. So the next time you tilt the glass of water, think that your water is one of the purest on Earth.
